Photography became a serious part of my life back in '67. Our family took a trip up to the EXPO67 exposition in Montreal, Canada. While there we stayed with an old army buddy of my Dad's who had built his own black and white enlarger. I sketched the essentials and built my own when I got home. The rest is history.

It developed further in college where I started a photography club which worked in a close partnership with the campus newspaper and yearbook. I purchased my first 35mm, a Canon FT, which I still use.

The most recent major change in this hobby was getting my first digital camera, an Afga 1280, earlier this year. It's really great not worrying about getting and more importantly consuming film. The downside is making sure you have a huge amount of disk space to store your creations.
